Mobile App
Built and Shipped My First Mobile App Using AI-Assisted Development
Built and Shipped My First Mobile App Using AI-Assisted Development
As part of my AI exploration journey, I designed and shipped NaamJap, a spiritual wellness app built around my own meditation practice.
I regularly do Naam Jap meditation and found that many existing apps either lacked customization, felt visually distracting, or weren’t designed for the kind of calm, focused experience I personally wanted. Since I also wanted to explore AI-assisted development, I decided to build a meditation app tailored specifically to my own practice and preferences.
NaamJap helps users track mantra meditation through an interactive mala bead experience with customizable bead styles, ambient music, haptic feedback, motion effects, and light/dark themes designed to create a calm and immersive experience.
This project pushed me beyond design into real-world mobile development and deployment. I explored how tools like GitHub Copilot, Figma Make, and AI-assisted coding workflows could accelerate product development while still maintaining quality and craft.
Tech Stack & Workflow
AI-assisted React Native development using GitHub Copilot
End-to-end app shipping workflow from concept to Play Store
Responsive mobile UI systems across Android devices
Motion design using
react-native-reanimatedAudio layering and interaction feedback systems
Cloud builds and Android deployment using Expo EAS
Key Challenges Solved
Solving React Native and Expo dependency conflicts
Building a responsive circular mala bead system
Optimizing animations without affecting tap performance
Managing Android signing, testing, and Play Store release requirements
Impact
More than just an experiment, this project helped me understand how AI can meaningfully accelerate product development while still requiring strong product thinking, design judgment, and problem-solving. It also gave me hands-on experience shipping a production-ready mobile app independently from idea to release.

Built My First AI-Powered Web App: From Code to Production
Built My First AI-Powered Web App: From Code to Production
I built and deployed my first AI-powered web application, transforming the way I approach development. The project challenged me to push AI-generated code directly to production while navigating real-world deployment complexities.
The Project An image effects processor that applies real-time visual filters including pixelate, halftone, blur, and vintage effects. Users can upload images and customize parameters through an intuitive interface.
Tech Stack & Workflow
Design & Code Generation: Figma Make for React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS
Development: VS Code with Radix UI components and Vite bundling
Version Control: GitHub repository management
Deployment: Vercel for hosting with GoDaddy custom domain
AI Assistance: Claude and GitHub Copilot for debugging and optimization
Key Challenges Solved
Integration Issues: Importing AI-generated code into VS Code and resolving library conflicts
Performance Optimization: Canvas rendering and image processing for multiple effect types
Responsive Design: Ensuring consistent functionality across mobile and desktop
Deployment Pipeline: Configuring GitHub-Vercel integration and domain routing
Cross-Device Compatibility: Managing canvas state and effect consistency
Impact This project demonstrated how AI-assisted development can accelerate the entire software lifecycle, from initial concept to live production deployment, while maintaining code quality and user experience standards.
